Selling JDSU Test-Um TP300 – We Buy New Used TP300 (‘s) Top Dollar Paid!

If you’re looking to Sell Test-Um JDSU TP300 Resi-Tester Cable Tester

Test-Um TP300 Resi-Tester
The Resi-Tester™ is designed to test all common low voltage cabling systems found in todays automated homes; telephone, network or video. The Resi-Tester™ has a large, bright LCD display and four momentary buttons used to directly access each function. The remote attaches to the main unit for storage and patch cable testing.

The Resi-Tester™ is turned on by pressing any one of the four momentary function buttons and begins testing in the mode for the button pressed telephone (TEL), coax (COAX), network (NTWK) or tone generator (TONE). The corresponding connectors at the top end of the tester are labeled the same as their mode switches. An LCD icon for the currently selected mode will be on or flashing on the screen. To turn the Resi-Tester™ off when in one of the cable test modes, press the button for a different cable test mode, but not the TONE button. Pressing the TONE button will start the tone generator in the Tel Tone, the Coax Tone or Ntwk Tone mode, depending on the current cable test mode.

Upon completion of a telephone or network cable test, the wire map display, ID and any faults are displayed. The top line of numbers on the display represents the connector pins on the main unit. The second line of pin numbers represents the connector pin numbers of the remote, normally being the same as the top line for a one-to-one wired cable. If there is a miswire, the pin numbers on the second line will indicate the pin numbers detected and the “Fail” icon will be on. The icon and the pins involved in the error will flash. If no connection was detected for some of the pins, the first and second line of pin numbers will be blank in those pin locations. If a short is detected, the second line will have a ‘-‘ in those positions along with the “Short” icon being on. If a split pair is detected, those pin positions on the first and second line will be flashing the pin numbers detected from the remote and the “Split” icon will be flashing. If there are multiple errors to display, there will be a combination of the above error displays. The ID icon will have a number directly to the right of it, indicating the remote ID number detected from the remote. A new test is in progress whenever the “Tel” or “Ntwk” icons are on.

In the coax mode, the “Open”, “Short” or “Pass” icon will be on to indicate the results of a test. If the cable passes, the “ID” icon will be on as well as a remote ID number, on the bottom line of the display. The “Coax” icon turns on when a test is in progress.

As mentioned above, the tone generator operates in Telephone, Coax and Network modes. The different modes are provided so that the pins or pairs being driven with a tone signal are displayed in terms of one of the three connectors. The specific mode is selected by pressing one of the cable test buttons (TEL, COAX or NTWK) followed by the TONE button. If the Resi-Tester™ was off when the TONE button is pressed, the last cable test mode used will be selected. The tone generator saves the driven pins for each mode independently. For example, selecting a different pin to drive in network mode will not change the driven pin in coax mode. Pressing any cable test mode button will turn off the Resi-Tester™ when in tone mode.

Selling Fluke NetTool Microscanner Pro – We Buy New Used Microscanner Pro (‘s) Top Dollar Paid!

If you’re looking to Sell Fluke NetTool Microscanner Pro LinkRunner Network

NetTool

Sometimes less can be more, especially where network test equipment is concerned. Several of the feature-rich connectivity testers on the market are bulky, expensive and difficult to use for first-line technicians. These testers often have an abundance of options and abilities that are seldom used in basic network testing. Network analyzers also can be dangerous in unskilled hands because the tester can generate undesired network traffic unknowingly. And, often a technician may need two or more testers, a laptop computer, diagnostic software and sometimes the assistance of network engineers to get to the root of network problems.

Fluke Networks addresses most of these with its new NetTool Connectivity Tester. Positioned in Fluke’s lineup between its DSP (digital signal processor) wiring testers and the OneTouch series network analyzers, the palm-sized NetTool combines the most desired elements of network analyzers and cable-scanning equipment. It has an easy-to-use interface designed to bridge the gap between network and PC technicians.

Fluke has created an all-in-one tester that does exactly what it sets out to do: test the network, PC link and wiring at the first-responder level. Well-designed and with intuitive controls, NetTool seemed to be thinking for me on more than one occasion during my tests. And the unit’s small size is an advantage; it fits easily on a belt, in a laptop case or in a tool bag.

NetTool has six push-buttons (including the power switch), and its easy-to-read display and three-color LEDs combine to help give a technician tremendous insight into the desktop-to-network connectivity environment, including network characteristics and key network resources. The unit also provides a very practical approach to looking at network wiring. Additionally, NetTool is strictly passive, so it won’t interfere with network traffic.

NetTool is powered by four AA alkaline batteries or an optional AC adapter. Battery life is an estimated 20 hours of normal usage. A serial cable is provided to allow for tester screen-shot captures to a PC and also is used for software upgrades through the included NetTool Blaster support software. I upgraded the software on the demo unit provided by Fluke and found the process to be fast and painless. As with other Fluke products, NetTool software upgrades will be available on a CD or downloadable via the Web, according to the company.

NetTool is configured in two models that differ only in firmware (and cost), and tests can be run in single-ended mode or inline mode. NetTool configured for single-ended testing verifies a live network connection, speed and duplex of a link, key devices on the network (IP, Novell NetWare and NetBIOS servers, along with routers and printers), health of the connection and observed protocols. Individual protocols can be tagged as “unwanted” and will be called out as problems if found on the network.

The tester shows cable length on a horizontal cable not connected to the network and individual pair lengths without needing a remote adapter. Patch-cord integrity can be verified by using both RJ-45 jacks on NetTool. For those charged with upkeeping a cable plant as well as the network, NetTool can provide most of the functionality of Microtest’s Microscanner and Siemon Co.’s STM-8 testers. Fluke’s NetTool can verify wiring.

Microscanner 2

Revolutionary Interface:
Yesterday’s cable verification testers-force users to toggle between up to four different modes of operation to view all test results. This not only slows the test process, but also causes frustration and leads to high  user error rates. MicroScanner2 has defeated this challenge by displaying key test results – wiremap, pair lengths, distance to fault, cable ID, and  far end device – all on one screen. Plus it features an oversized, backlit LCD screen with the power to display wiremap results graphically, which  brings unprecedented comfort and clarity to the user experience.

Multimedia Support:
Tired of losing or breaking all the adapters needed for testing the various  voice, data, and video media types? MicroScanner2 makes these awkward adapters things of the past with built-in RJ11, RJ45, and coax support. Both the main unit and the far-end identifiers can be used to test telephone jacks,  Ethernet jacks, and CATV outlets right out of the box. Just one more way  MicroScanner2 streamlines cable verification.

IntelliTone Toning:
MicroScanner2 features built-in IntelliTone digital and analog toning to  precisely locate virtually any cable or wire pair, regardless of work  environment. Use digital mode to locate high-grade data cabling (Cat 5e/6/6a)  in bundles, or at switches, patch panels, or wall outlets. Digital mode  especially performs in environments with high data, RF, or electromagnetic  interference. When coupled with the IntelliTone 200 Pro Probe, it can also be used to verify cable wiremap from either the tester end or the probe end.

Use analog mode on voice-grade cabling (Cat 3 and below), as well as coax, security/alarm, and speaker wiring. These cables are optimized for lower  frequency transmissions, and therefore are more easily isolated with a  low-frequency tone. MicroScanner2’s smart analog tone eliminates frustrating guesswork locating individual wire pairs during installations by changing songs each time the pair under test is shorted together. This provides technicians a  decisive way to identify individual wire pairs before punching them down or when  diagnosing voice transmission problems.

VDV Service Detection:
Voice, Data, and Video technicians have a lot more problems to deal with than just the cabling. They have to rule out a whole host of potential cable and  service issues before determining the cause of a connection problem.  MicroScanner2 acknowledges this, giving technicians high power vision to detect  today’s most common service problems. Detect the presence of POTS voltage and  verify polarity. Verify powered 10/100/1000 Ethernet switches at the far end.  Or, confirm proper PoE voltage and pairs.

Rugged Housing:
With all the abuse you put your tools through, you can’t afford for them to be  delicate. MicroScanner2 features a rubber wrap-around holster that makes it the right tool for even the toughest jobs. Toss it into your toolbox. It can handle it. Plus, it now comes standard with a vinyl carry pouch for enhanced protection and convenience.
